Abstract
In this seminar, we are going to justify the importance of power calculations in general with a motivating example. We are then going to discuss the different types of power analysis and the statistical principles behind them. In addition, we are going to discuss how effect sizes (the main ingredient in power analysis) can be obtained. We round up this seminar with some factors that affect the power of a study and some demonstrations using the GPower software.
