Literature reviews are a crucial element in the work of academics. Not only is the purpose of a literature to gain insights in previous work and the state-of-the-art, also and more importantly, literature reviews help you to identify unobserved territory where you can make new contributions to science.
Collecting literature is done online with reference database like Web of Science or Google Scholar. Inventorying literature and referring to literature is done with reference managers like Endnote. In this seminar you will learn how the qualitative data analysis software NVivo can help you with summarizing literature in order to make the prepare the writing phase. We build upon acquired basic competencies of using NVivo as we assume you can code your material, use case classifications and cases and you are able to search your material using queries. All these techniques will be used in this workshop to show how NVivo is also excellent equipped to be used in a literature review.
You need to have followed an introduction to NVivo. Pre-requisites are: setting up an NVivo project, Coding in NVivo and using Queries in NVivo.
