Abstract
Participants are offered an introduction in the field of discourse theory & analysis (DA). After a short theoretical overview, with a focus on CDA (Critical Discourse Analysis), the sessions will be more practical. Using concrete media materials, insight is gained in (1) how unequal social relations are reproduced in discourse and (2) why it is important to (also) study language use as social scientists.
IMPORTANT!
Following a possible change in the current pandemic situation and new government regulations, it is possible that the seminar will be organized remotely. Due to Corona regulations, the maximum number of participants is 20.
