28 Feb Qualitative data analysis with Atlas.ti or NVivo – A Comparison
1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
methodology seminar | level: beginner
registrations and venue via University of Antwerp
To support qualitative data analysis, and in particular coding of qualitative data, different software packages are on the market. The most well-known are Atlas.ti, NVivo, and MAXQDA. Gerda Casimir has experience with the first two. In this workshop she will compare the strengths and weaknesses of both programs, and discuss which is suitable for which type of analysis. Participants are advised to download NVIVO and/or Atlas.ti (both support demo-versions) on their own laptop, in order to allow some hands-on exercises.
Dr. Gerda Casimir is a trained Home Economist, however developed to a teacher in qualitative data analysis at Wageningen University. In that capacity she coached many students (masters and PhDs) with their theses. Since her retirement in 2015, she teaches as free lancer Atlas.ti workshops.
